Hey guys! — ACHOO! Oh, sorry! I think I've got a bit of a cold! But I guess it’s that time of year, right? Oh well Sometimes a sick day at home, curled up in your blanket, is just what you need. I know sniffles and sneezes make you feel horrid but I’ve got a few proven hacks that’ll help you feel better in no time First, when I feel a cold coming on, I make sure to get lots of vitamin C That means fruits galore! lemons, fresh juice, smoothies, oranges, berries, and kiwi Maybe even half a grapefruit! Next: rest Lots of rest! I’ve got a stack of books and magazines to read a couple of movies and some YouTube videos to watch and some really cozy pjs Aaaaand – mini-games to play on “My Talking Angela”! A scratchy throat is a nasty thing but I have a great remedy my magic super tea! Boil the kettle and leave the water to cool down for a few minutes While you wait, squeeze the juice of a lemon into your fave mug add a few slices of fresh ginger and a teaspoon or two of honey then add some of the hot water Stir and let it steep for a few minutes, then enjoy! The honey will soothe your throat the lemon will give your immune system a boost and the ginger is an anti-inflammatory It will make you feel so much better! Another thing I like when I’m feeling sick is soup It’s sooo comforting If you’re feeling really bad, just do what I do pour your soup into a mug then head back to the sofa to get snuggly So to sum it up take the time to feel better Your body need rest to heal and so does your mind And don’t forget: drink lots and lots of liquids So, if you’re feeling poorly, I’m crossing my fingers that you start to feel better soon!
