(bright upbeat music) – Hi, my name is Lacey, and I'm part of the Twin
Cities Hospital team. Today, we're gonna talk about sepsis. Sepsis is when your immune system has an overwhelming
response to an infection and can cause serious effects,
including organ failure. It's important to catch sepsis early to make sure that you have
a quick and speedy recovery. The signs of sepsis include fever, abnormally high heart
rate, trouble urinating, changing mental status,
and breathing difficulty.
If you think you have sepsis, seek emergency care immediately. At the hospital, you'll get tests to determine if you do have sepsis. If you do, you'll receive
antibiotics and fluid therapy. In an emergency, don't panic. Help if you can, and always know that you can count on your emergency team at Twin Cities Hospital. (bright upbeat music).
